During our time together we will get clear on our intentions for the New Year while calling in tools to adhere to your intention over the next 361 days. You will be invited to use movement to release patterns that held you back in the past, guided visualization and meditation, and a potent chant to call in the abundance of your intention, helping it to become a reality. Join us for a fun and festive event designed to bring peace and harmony to your body and mind during the busy holiday season. Relax and enjoy a gentle and restorative yoga class led by Michelle Allen and with hands-on assist and massage by Marybeth Donahoe, Carrie Adams and Mary-Kate Jackson. The class will end with a restful Savasana and soothing soundbath from Deborah Lapkin and her crystal bowls. 

The class will be followed by a holiday party with snacks, drinks and Christmas caroling performed by the local singing group, Sisters in Harmony.

In this four part workshop series, guest teacher Janet Macleod will break down the fundamentals of Asana practice as taught in the IyengarYoga tradition. According to BKS Iyengar in his book “Core of the Yoga Sutras,” whatever Asana one performs should not distort the normal or original structure of the anatomical body. This approach to Asana allows the spine to remain in its natural curvature. Along with breath awareness, this will be the theme for all categories of Asana.
