Heart, Blood Vessels, + Cholesterol
Join us for our second Community Medicine Circle talk with local Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Haley Schimmer, in an exploration of disease prevention, self-resilience, and vitality. Open to all, the intention of the community medicine circle offerings is to weave connection, decrease isolation, improve health sovereignty, keep us out of the hospital, and to create more capacity for a vibrant healthy life.
The body contains thousands of miles of blood vessels. Keeping the blood vessels healthy is essential in preventing heart attacks, strokes, kidney damage and high blood pressure. All parts of the body need nourishing and require healthy circulation. Join us in learning in-depth what the blood vessels and the heart itself needs to be healthy, and how to prevent disease, with an emphasis on inflammation, lifestyle, and the mind-body connection.
What to bring: - A pen and paper or journal for notes - A yoga mat or cushion to sit on - Curiosity, an open mind, questions for the speaker and community, and your - most authentic self! *
The circles are meant to be inclusive and interactive so be prepared to participate as much or as little as you would like.
This is a sliding scale donation-based talk.
Please consider donating between $5-25 for participation.
